Director of Auxiliary
The Director of Auxiliary (DIRAUX) is charged with the active
promotion and administration of Auxiliary affairs in the district and for
compliance with instructions and directives governing the Auxiliary
organization. As the District
Commander's representative in all matters pertaining to the Auxiliary, the
director keeps the District commander advised of all circumstances and
developments of interest as they pertain to the program.
The U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is composed of uniformed,
non-military volunteers who assist the Coast Guard in boating safety and
all of its varied missions.
The men and women of the Coast Guard Auxiliary can be found on the
nation's waterways, in classrooms and on the dock, performing Search and
Rescue, vessel safety checks, public education, and maritime domain
awareness.
Our district encompasses
the Great State of Alaska; from the scenic Inside Passage to the native
communities of the Arctic North Slope.
Our office is located in the
Federal
Building
