Welcome to the home page of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, District
Seventeen, serving the Great State of Alaska.
We are the gateway to the Arctic.
The U. S Coast Guard Auxiliary is
comprised of civilian volunteers from many diverse cultures, working
together as Team Coast Guard.
These members are found on Alaska’s
coastal waterways and inland rivers, participating in outdoor shows,
teaching boating safety in the classroom, or performing dockside vessel
safety checks. Whether by boat,
car or C-130, our members travel thousands of miles to deliver the message
of safe boating to citizens in large cities to the most remote villages in Alaska.
We invite you to join our Coast Guard Family and share the unique
opportunities we have to offer.
Whatever skill set you want to share, we have a place for you in
District Seventeen. You don’t
need a boat to be an active member of our team, you just need the desire and
commitment to make a difference in someone’s life.
